WACO, Texas - Coach Steve Johnigan's Green team won the first game of the six-game Fall Championship Series Monday night 3-1 at Baylor Ballpark.

Junior lefty Jared Theodorakos earned the win for the Green, pitching five shutout innings and allowing just one hit while striking out six. Freshman third baseman/pitcher Michael Griffin pitched the ninth to earn the save.

Freshman Abe Woody started for the Gold and allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits in his 3.1 innings. Woody struck out four and walked three.

Junior first baseman Brandon Luce got the Green scoring started with an RBI single in the bottom of the third. Two batters later, juco transfer second baseman Eric Errante doubled in Ross Bennett, who had reached via walk.
