WACO, Texas - The Baylor baseball team will face a tough schedule as it looks to defend the Big 12 title in 2001, head coach Steve Smith announced Monday.
Baylor will open the season with a trip to Houston to participate in a tournament at Enron Field that features six schools from the old Southwest Conference. The Bears will also host perennial power Cal State Fullerton February 9-11 at the Baylor Ballpark.
The schedule features conference home series with Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas State, Texas and Texas Tech. Baylor will hit the road for games with Texas A&M, Iowa State, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma State.
