Fall 2007 (Freshman) - Opened with a win against Melanie Zilles (9/28) of Tarleton State at the Baylor Invitational... Competed in three fall tournaments and posted a 6-8 record... Won two of three qualifying matches at the ITA Southwest Regional and earned a bid to the main draw... Finished fall season with a win over Clemson[apos]s Carol Salge... Named to Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll.
Prior to Baylor - Played high school tennis at Corsicana (Texas) High School where she was named most improved in three of her for years... Was No. 9 player on the team as a freshman and worked her way up the ladder to the No. 1 spot as a senor... Team finished second in their region during sophomore campaign... Member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Academic Honor Roll.
Personal - Born Feb. 3, 1989, in Corsicana, Texas, to Joe and Kathy Holmes... Mother is a Baylor graduate... Enjoys participating in water sports and trying to play music... Exercise Physiology major.
