LOCAL CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: I-35 construction and football is not new to the city of Waco. The latest I-35 reconstruction project has reduced the north and southbound lanes to two lanes over a three-mile stretch from S. Loop 340 to 11th/12th Street. For travelers going south, traffic backs up as the four lanes squeeze into two lanes. Northbound travelers go from three to two lanes.
The biggest challenge for this Friday’s game is not only is it a Friday, which is the heaviest traffic day of the week on I-35 through Waco, but it’s also the Labor Day holiday weekend.
Before you make your way to McLane Stadium, please plan your route and parking carefully as road closures and active Interstate 35 construction will be live during Baylor football game days. Additionally, please do not use smartphone maps or other turn-by-turn navigation as gameday road closures will not be indicated and directions could be incorrect.

Game Day Travel Tips:
- Plan your route ahead of time, including any alternate routes.
- Leave earlier than usual to give yourself plenty of travel time.
- Use the Waze app for specific travel directions to the pre-paid lots: www.baylorbears.com/parking.

Make sure to look at your digital parking pass for the 2 to 4 letter parking lot identification code. On game day, you will see signage with these parking codes along the route to designated parking areas.

RESERVED SEASON PARKING
The following are pre-paid, season-long parking lots: McLane Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, Gold Lot, Umphrey Law School, Ferrell Center, Dutton Garage, and Speight Garage.
McLane Lots 1, 2, and Gold Lot are assigned lots. Please check your ticket for the space number you are assigned to. Umphrey Law School, Ferrell Center, Dutton Garage, and Speight Garage are not assigned parking areas.
All parking passes have a unique QR code that will be scanned upon entering the lot. The parking pass is invalid without this QR code. Re-entry will not be allowed once your pass has been scanned and you leave your designated parking or RV lot. SHUTTLES
The following shuttles will operate this season:
Downtown Shuttle – Picking up at Heritage Square (3
rd and Austin Ave.) and dropping off at the northwest corner of the McLane Stadium site. Starting 3 hrs before kickoff, running until 1 hr postgame
Ferrell Center – Picking up near Getterman Stadium and dropping off at the I Believe Walkway (Law School Lot entrance off University Parks). Starting 2 hrs before kickoff, running until 1 hr postgame
Speight Parking Garage – Picking up at the Speight Ave. bus stop and dropping off at the I Believe Walkway (Law School Lot entrance off University Parks). Starting 2 hrs before kickoff, running until 1 hr postgame
BRIC Shuttle – Runs from
BRIC Parking (100 Research Pkwy, Waco, TX 76704) dropping off near gate C. ADA parking placard required for parking. Starting 4 hrs before kickoff, running until 1 hr postgame
All shuttles pickup postgame at the same location the drop off except the Downtown Shuttle which drops off west of I-35 pregame and east of I-35 postgame.
STREET & EXIT CLOSURES
The following traffic updates are expected, but subject to change.
- University Parks Dr. from the Baylor Law School to Bagby Ave. will be closed 3 hours prior to game time until 1 hour postgame.
ADA PARKING
ADA parking is available at the BRIC Shuttle lot (100 Research Pkwy, Waco, TX 76704). To access this lot, you must possess the proper ADA vehicle markings. The parking staff will direct you to the proper parking locations. To get additional information regarding ADA accommodations, please contact the Baylor Athletic Ticket Office at (254) 710-1000.
A limited number of first come, first served spots will be available at this lot for $25. Proper ADA license plate or placards must be displayed to enter the lot.
RV PARKING & TAILGATING
Bear Foundation members with a season-long RV tailgate pass, will be permitted to park in their designated location. For more information, please contact the Baylor Athletics Ticket Office at 254-710-1000.
