Bears Prepare to Take Down The Dukes
WACO, Texas – The No. 1-ranked Baylor Bears host the No. 7 Duquesne Dukes this Saturday at 5 p.m. CT at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas.
The Bears prepare for their third home meet on Saturday against the Dukes. We will be celebrating the team's "Gen Z and Senior Day" with a meet filled with all the best things from 1997-2012, a Halftime Baby race sponsored by Taking Cara Babies, a post-meet senior ceremony, post-meet autographs, and giveaways featuring Perfect 10 cards and Retro Baylor Can Koozie (while supplies last).
The Bears enter the weekend holding the No. 1 spot in the NCATA National Rankings for the 11th straight year and they look to carry that focus forward as they continue to defend their title. The Bears hold a 1-0 lead in all-time series with Duquesne and look to continue the winning streak over the Dukes.
Baylor also picked up national honors this week. Mo Arthur earned NCATA Freshman of the Week for the sixth consecutive week and Payton Washington received Athlete of the Week for the third consecutive week.
