SOC’s Aryanna Jimison Earns Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week Honors

IRVING, Texas – Baylor soccer's Aryanna Jimison earned Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors after a brace against Kansas, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.

Jimison, who recorded the Bears' first two-goal performance of the season, scored on either side of the halftime break in Baylor's 3-1 win against Kansas on a rainy Friday night at Betty Lou Mays Field. She opened the scoring in the 45^th minute and added the eventual game-winner in the 47^th, with assists from Sydney Miller and Theresa McCullough.

It was the fourth multi-goal match of Jimison's career and her second in green and gold. She also scored twice in Baylor's 2-1 win against Colorado in Waco last season, and she helped her former team, Houston, to a 2024 win against UTSA and a 2023 draw at TCU with two goals in each.

The honor is Jimison's second as a Bear and Baylor's 76^th all-time. It is also the 24^th offense-specific award since the league added the category ahead of the 2000 season.

The Big 12 also named UCF's Kalena Bellini Defensive Player of the Week and Kaina Cesar Goalkeeper of the Week. Texas Tech's Lauren Alvarez was selected Freshman of the Week.

Baylor travels to Boulder to face Colorado at 8 p.m. CT tomorrow on ESPN+ before returning to Betty Lou Mays Field on Sunday afternoon to host Kansas State, with kickoff set for noon.
