Bears to compete in second-to-last regular season meet
ORLANDO, Fla. – Baylor track & field will travel to Orlando for the Knights Invite, hosted by UCF, from April 25-26 at the UCF Soccer and Track Complex.
This will be the second-to-last regular season meet for the Bears as they begin preparing final marks for the postseason.
SUCCESS AT THE MJ
In its final home meet of the 2025 season, Baylor had success at the Michael Johnson Invitational as the Bears took six titles while also delivering a multitude of season and career best marks. Additionally, the Bears had several marks that rewrote the program records for BU.
Demario Prince put up the No. 2 all-time mark in the 110mH in his collegiate outdoor debut at 13.44. Following up, the women's 4x100 relay squad of Tiriah Kelley, Hannah Lowe, Alexis Brown and Michaela Francois showed out with a 42.89 mark, holding a stadium record, the No. 2 all-time Baylor mark and the No. 3 mark in the NCAA this season, jumping to 22-8.50 (2.4 m/s) and marking a meet and facility record.
On Friday, Brown capitalized on her final home meet of her collegiate career, jumping to first place at 22-8.50 (2.4 m/s) and marking a meet and facility record. In the women's 400mH, Calisha Taylor (56.44) and Jasmine Gryne (57.24) both ran for PRs and the No. 2 and No. 5 marks in program history.
LADIES LEAD AMONG THE NCAA
The women's track & field squad held as the No. 6 team for the second week in a row based on USTFCCCA ranking. With the Bears top-10 ranking, four event groups were ranked inside the top-five of No. 1 long jump, No. 3 pole vault, No. 4 100-meter and No. 5 400-meter hurdles. Baylor is one of four schools in the nation to have four or more event groups in the top-five.

Nathaniel Ezekiel made his 2025 outdoor debut at the Michael Johnson Invite, where he posted the No. 3 time in the NCAA in the 400mH at 48.99. The mark is just 0.99 seconds shy from his program-leading career-best. Ezekiel also ran in the 4x400 relay where he delivered an impressive 44.791 final leg to carry the relay team to first place.
Ezekiel had a successful indoor season where he won the Big 12 Championship titles in the 400m and the 4x400 and finished as the NCAA runner-up in the 400m.
BEARS AT TEXAS INVITATIONAL
A group of field athletes and distance runners will represent the Bears at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin from Thursday, April 24 to Friday, April 25 in the Texas Invitational.
BU will compete in the men's and women's pole vault, men's hammer throw and men's and women's 1500m events.
WHAT'S NEXT
After this weekend, Baylor will compete in its final meet of the season in College Station at the Alumni Muster from May 2-3 and then begin preparing for the postseason with the Big 12 Outdoor Championship taking place in Lawrence, Kansas from May 15-17.
