Four Bears Complete Weekend at Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge

Bowden and Anderson go undefeated in singles

DALLAS – Baylor men's tennis was represented by four Bears over the weekend at the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge located at SMU, highlighted by standout performances from multiple Bears including some going undefeated throughout the weekend.

Blake Anderson, Louis Bowden, Drew Hedgecoe and Arman Zamani battled student-athletes from SMU, BYU, Harvard, Memphis, and UTSA throughout the four-day tournament. The Bears had an overall positive record going 10-8 throughout the tournament including Bowden's and Anderson's solid performances of going an undefeated 3-0 in singles.

BU also showcased strong performances throughout the doubles tournament with Anderson and Zamani going 3-0 together in doubles against opponents showing excellent skill. Baylor appeared strong in every match and showcased their grit by coming out on top in multiple tie breakers to decide the matches.

The Bears now turn to the ITA Sectionals that are set to take place from Nov. 6-9 at the Varsity Tennis Center in Ann Arbor, Mich. This will be the final chance for Bears to earn a qualifying spot to the NCAA Individual Championships held later this month.
