Yurang Li Named Big 12 Golfer of the Month

WACO, Texas -- After claiming a pair of event titles to conclude the fall season, Baylor women's golf junior Yurang Li has been named Big 12 Conference Golfer of the Month, it was announced by the league office on Thursday.
Li, a native of Fullerton, Calif., claimed event titles in the Rainbow Wahine Invitational and The Bear Brawl to wrap up the fall season. She also finished second in the Prairie Dunes Invitational during her three events of October.
Li owns a 71.23 season scoring average through 13 rounds. She has had five straight rounds of shooting par or better and twice in the last three rounds tied the school record with a 65. Lie has finished in the top-40 in each of her five events of the fall, including a 16th place finish in the Folds of Honor Collegiate and a 35th place finish in the Mason Rudolph Championship.
She sports par or better on 196 of her 234 holes on the year and owns a total of 40 birdies early in her season.
Li was named to the Annika Award Watch List, alongside 20 student-athletes, with the award recognizing the nation's top player.
No. 15 Baylor returns to action on Jan 25-27 with The PDI Intercollegiate.
