EQ Opens Home Slate with No. 6 Fresno State

WACO, Texas – The Baylor Equestrian team welcomes No. 6 Fresno State on Friday for the Bears' home opener, the meet starting at 11 a.m. at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.

The Bears (0-2, 0-2) take on the Bulldogs (3-1, 0-1) in BU's third meet of the season, also the third Big 12 meet for Baylor.

Last time out, BU faced then-No. 4 Oklahoma State on the road in Stillwater, keeping close with the Cowgirls but falling 12-6.

In Fences, Lauren Jorgensen earned her point for the Bears, while Juliette Earley and Lauren Reid scored in Flat. On the Western side, both Alexis Rutledge and Nadalee Vasquez were point-earners in Horsemanship, while Emily Moomaw earned her point in Reining.

There will be free anthracite t-shirts and 2024-25 posters at the meet while supplies last. Food trucks will be available on-site to patrons.
