The event will restart Saturday morning and be shortened to 36 holes
NASSAU, Bahamas — Howling winds and driving rain forced the cancelation of round one of the White Sands Invitational on Friday morning.
With a south wind blowing around 30 miles per hour, heavy rains moved in and halted play as most of the field was on the back half of its front nine. The scores accumulated on Friday will be wiped away, and the players will all start fresh on Saturday morning.
Initially slated for 54 holes, the event will be shortened to 36, officially commencing with 18 holes on Saturday morning at 7 a.m. CT. The final round is slated to be played Sunday morning, beginning with a 7 a.m. shotgun start. Starting hole assignments, stats and scoring for the event can be found at Scoreboard.clippd.com.
