Bears to honor 15 as part of Senior Day ceremonies
WACO, Texas – No. 6 Baylor equestrian (4-5) hosts South Carolina (0-7) for its final home meet of the season at 11 a.m. Friday at the Willis Family Equestrian Center in Waco.
After falling short in a raw-score tiebreaker to TCU last week, the Bears are looking to earn their first win of the spring.
The Gamecocks hold a slight 8-6 advantage over BU in the all-time series record, though the two schools have not met since Nov. 9, 2018. USC took that last meeting in a raw-score tiebreaker, 1139.5-1114. The Gamecocks opened their spring season last Saturday with a 14-4 loss to No. 3 Auburn.
Baylor has won 18 of its 36 individual events this season, with Fences and Reining outscoring opponents 25-19 and 25-14, respectively.
Seventeen different Bears have recorded points this year, including Caroline Fuller (Flat), Jenna Meimerstorf (Reining) and Andie Pratt (Reining), who are each riding a three-meet win streak since the beginning of the spring campaign.
Fifteen seniors will be recognized as part of BU's Senior Day ceremonies. All seniors on this year's roster may exercise their fifth year of eligibility and return to Waco for next season.
Live scoring for the meet will be available at BaylorBears.com.
