EQ Announces 2019-20 Team Awards

Bears are awarded for their hard work in and out of the arena
Outside the Arena Awards:
Unsung Hero – Two student-athletes who have positively influenced the team and made exceptional contributions but may not always be recognized for them. These are people who work hard behind the scenes to keep the team running smooth but never expect anything in return.
The award goes to: Grace Thiel and Daisy Kaufman
Sic' em Award – Two student-athletes who shows endless dedication to Baylor and Baylor Equestrian. These are people who can often be found encouraging others, rallying their teammates, and this year especially brought great enthusiasm and energy into the National Championship.
The award goes to: Gia Gulino and Hannah Stokan
Service Award – Two student-athletes who have shown commitment to service and excellence in the community. They find joy in giving back to others wherever they can.
The award goes to: Kammie Berns and Hannah Stokan
Workhorse Award – Two student-athletes who have put in countless hours in and out of the arena. They are always looking for ways to help the team and support the coaching staff throughout the season.
The award goes to: Emma Witham and Madeline Bomba
Acts 20:24 Award –Two student-athletes who have shown spiritual growth and character formation throughout the season.
The award goes to: Dominika Silvestri and Elsie Naruszewicz
Athletic Awards:
Most Improved – Goes to 1 student-athlete in each event who has made dramatic improvement in their riding throughout the season. The coaches recognize their commitment and have seen their hard work pay off as the season progressed.
Most Improved Fences Student-Athlete: Rachael Davis
Most Improved Flat Student-Athlete: Caroline Fuller
Most Improved Horsemanship Student-Athlete: Liana Caroccio
Most Improved Reining Student-Athlete: Jenna Meimerstorf
Most Outstanding Player – Goes to a Jumping Seat and Western student-athlete in each class who have been significant contributors in their discipline throughout the season. Their hard work and efforts are reflective in their performances.
Most Outstanding Fences Student-Athlete: Madison Day
Most Outstanding Flat Student-Athletes: Rachael Davis
Most Outstanding Horsemanship Student-Athlete: Clara Johnson
Most Outstanding Reining Student-Athlete: Maggie Cincotta
Elite Equestrian – 1 player with highest GPA + athletic record combined.
