Baylor will host USTA Campus Kid’s Day prior to the match
WACO, Texas – Two days after upsetting No. 6 Wake Forest on its home courts, No. 12 Baylor men's tennis (6-1) will host Penn (3-2) on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center.
As part of USTA Campus Kid's Day, the team will host a free youth tennis clinic from 4:30-5:30 on the Hawkins courts. Participants will receive a free water bottle and sunglasses courtesy of the USTA.
The women's team will also host a free clinic prior to their afternoon match from 11:30 a.m.-12:55 p.m.
The Bears come into the match with a 22-match home win streak after Thursday's 5-2 victory over the Demon Deacons.
Baylor is facing the Quakers for the second-straight season and holds a 2-0 all-time series lead. In 2019, the Bears rolled past Penn in dominant fashion, earning the doubles point and taking five singles matches for the 6-1 win.
BU is 6-0 at home this season and has outscored opponents by a 33-4 margin at Hawkins Indoor.
BU boasts four singles players and two doubles teams in the latest ITA rankings. No. 25 Sven Lah, No. 67 Matias Soto, No. 82 Constantin Frantzen and No. 102 Adrian Boitan were listed in singles while Lah and Frantzen were No. 17 and Soto and Ryan Dickerson came in at No. 23 in doubles.
Penn is 3-2 on the season and has secured wins over Navy, Michigan State and Drexel. The Quakers' two losses have come to ranked teams, then-No. 18 Tennessee and No. 14 N.C. State.
