T&F Travels to College Station for A&M Invitational

Bears currently have nine marks ranked in the NCAA top 15.
WACO, Texas – Baylor track & field will compete in its first in-state meet of the indoor season as the Bears travel to the Texas Aggie Invitational on Saturday at the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium at the McFerrin Athletic Center in College Station.
"We're looking forward to another solid weekend," head coach Todd Harbour said. "We'll try to continue to build on last weekend's success. It was a good opener for us. Hopefully we can continue that and stay healthy."
Through one meet, Baylor has nine marks in the NCAA top 15. On the men's team, KC Lightfoot, Howard Fields III, Jalen Seals, Riley Richards and the men's 4x4 of Fields, Maxwell Willis, Matthew Moorer and Jayson Baldridge have positioned themselves early for the NCAA meet.
On the women's side, Tuesdi Tidwell, Alex Madlock, Kennedy Bailey and Mackenzie Hayward have made their early marks. The top 16 in each event at the end of the season qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships March 13-14 in Albuquerque, N.M., so the Bears will look to better those marks to keep pace throughout the season.
"We have to continue to build," Harbour said. "Some of the marks put a few of our athletes in good shape to be at the NCAA meet, but we're still trying to build on that. You never want to have your first meet as your high water meet. We want to improve on our times and improve on our marks, because everyone else in the NCAA will too."
Running and field events will begin simultaneously on Saturday, with the men's pole vault, women's high jump, and women's 60 meters (prelims) all getting started at 12:45 p.m. CT.
"A&M is always a great venue and a great site," Harbour said. "This should be another good test for a lot of our athletes."
Live results can be found at https://flashresults.com/, and the meet will be televised on SEC Network+ (live stream at https://www.espn.com/watch?id=f0091c4e-c5eb-4ef3-9b3d-144e653fe44a).
