THE RUNDOWN
WACO, Texas — Baylor women's tennis (6-15, 1-2) snapped a 14-match losing skid by upsetting No. 36 Kansas State (10-7, 0-4) Sunday at the Hurd Tennis Center, 4-3. The Bears were down 3-0 and stormed back to take their first conference win of the season in the Big 12.
Although the Wildcats earned the doubles point after taking victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, the Bears rallied back after dropping the first two singles matches. Down, 3-0 Livia Kraus, Paula Barañano, Dominika Sujova and Jessica Hinojosa rattled off consecutive wins, respectively to help pick up Baylor's first win since Jan. 26.
Sujova and Hinojosa added dramatics to the match as both went three sets in victory.

Baylor Head Coach Joey Scrivano on Baylor's match against Kansas State…
"It was just a hard-fought battle. Really proud of the way our players competed and found a way to get back in the match and ultimately get through the finish line. I think in doubles, we're making progress but unfortunately, we didn't play hard all the way through, and we got lucky that that kind of effort found a way to get it done through singles. In singles, Jessica (Hinojosa), Livia (Kraus), and Paula (Barañano) have been just incredible this entire season. They've been durable, reliable, and (they) just fight day in and day out. I think it was a bonus that we got Domi (Dominika Sujova) to actually play and compete hard and find a way to win. We still have a lot of room for improvement and our job now is to make sure that we figure out what we did poorly today and improve it for the next one."
