WT Hosts Both Kansas Schools in Big 12 Matches

WACO, Texas – The Baylor women's tennis team resumes Big 12 Conference play at home Friday and Sunday with matches against No. 16 Kansas and No. 36 K-State. Friday's match vs. the Jayhawks kicks off at 5 p.m. at the Hurd Tennis Center while Sunday's match begins at 1 p.m. vs. the Wildcats.

Baylor (5-14, 0-1) is looking to end a 13-match losing skid and has played this season without a full roster due to injuries. On a short-handed year, Baylor has played 10 of its 19 matches against Top 25 opponents and the 16^th-ranked Jayhawks will bring that number to 11 Friday. The Bears dropped their only conference match of the season in a home loss to TCU March 7.

The Jayhawks enter Friday's match at 10-3 overall and 1-1 in Big 12 play. KU fell at No. 11 Oklahoma State Friday before beating No. 30 Oklahoma in Norman Sunday.

K-State enters Sunday's match with a 10-5 overall record and an 0-2 start in Big 12 play. The Wildcats dropped matches at No. 30 Oklahoma Friday and No. 11 Oklahoma State Sunday to begin league play. The Wildcats have two top-40 wins over No. 39 SMU (Feb. 21) and No. 40 Wichita State (Mar. 7).
