No. 9 SOC Looks to Repeat in Big 12 Title Match with WVU

Top-seeded Bears seek to knock off No. 14 Mountaineers to sweep conference titles
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – No. 9 Baylor soccer (17-4-0, 8-1-0 Big 12) will play in back-to-back Big 12 Soccer Championship title matches for the first time in program history, facing the No. 2 seed and 14th-ranked West Virginia (13-4-3, 7-2-0 Big 12) on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Swope Soccer Village.
The match will be televised nationally on FS1, with Brenda VanLengen and Jessica Stamp providing commentary on the broadcast.
Baylor defeated Texas Tech, 2-1, in overtime in Friday's semifinal match, while the Mountaineers notched a late second-half goal to take a 1-0 win over No. 3-seeded Texas.
BU has its eyes on a repeat of its 2017 tournament title run, where the Bears mounted a historic performance to clinch the program's second tournament title. A Big 12 tournament title would mark the first time in program history that Baylor has swept both the regular season and tournament titles.
Since taking a 2-1 overtime loss at Texas on Sep. 21, the Bears have gone on a program-record 10-match winning streak, including a 1-0 overtime win at West Virginia, handing the Mountaineers their first-ever Big 12 loss in Morgantown and notching the first-ever win for BU over WVU.
