BAYLOR POSTGAME QUOTES
Baylor Head Coach Scott Drew
 Opening statement...
"The crowd was great. Our guys were a little concerned about the offensive end trying to entertain the crowd, giving them things to cheer for more than they were the defensive end. Fort Hood does an unbelievable job serving our country, and that allows us to be secure here over the holidays, so playing here gives us a chance to be able to say thank you and provide entertainment for the people here to watch. That's a real honor for us."

"It's something you don't recommend, that's why they give you 13. I think the last couple of years we have been very blessed to not have many injuries or serious season-ending injuries. I think this year they just all added up, but good thing is we've only lost 2 games and we can get people back feeling better and that will allow us to get better. This has allowed some of our other guys to get time and gain confidence."
On how Randall playedÃÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"They did a fantastic job. One thing every coach understands is a winning culture. They have a lot of upperclassmen and they have won three straight conference titles where they haven't lost a game, so they're used to playing well, and naturally our guys coming through finals are never going to be motivated and that's hard and that's a concern because you always want to play hard and compete. That's where the depth comes in because you can keep rotating guys and they will keep giving you short spurts. Normally with six guys they're going to play hard on the offensive end. It's the defensive end where they're not going to exert all that energy and you saw that in the second half. Credit Randall for shooting 55 percent but still when you give up 48 points that's not good defense."

 On having only 6 scholarship guys active tonightÃÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"It was tough because we're missing a bunch of our team, but we had to find a way to stick together and dig deep and find a way to get a win. We fought and continued to fight together. Obviously missing those three guys hurt us a lot, but we still got the W. It was an ugly win, but we still got it."
On getting open looks beyond the archÃÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"I got a lot of open threes, and my teammates did a great job finding me. When I was open I just continued to shoot it, and they did a good job setting me up for those shots."

 On playing at Fort HoodÃÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"I always look forward to playing in this game. It's a great honor. These people fight for our freedom and our ability to do this and its an honor to go out there and dedicate this to them. I love playing hard for them to say thank you. We can never really say thank you enough for what they do. It's a small token we can give to them to show our appreciation."
On playing against RandallÃÆ'Æ' ¢ÃƒÆ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"We never look down on playing any opponent. We knew these guys could play basketball. They shoot it just like we do. We can't take anyone lightly. We didn't play the way we should have, didn't play defense the way we should have. At times they stuck around. No. 0 (Xavier Hunter) is a great player. He knocked down some great shots, some big shots. They had some guys make plays, and they were a good team. I see why they're successful in their league."
