LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Baylor men's cross country had a 26th-place finish at the Adidas Pre-National Meet at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky.
The finish was a 12-place improvement from the last time the Bears competed at Pre-Nationals in 2014.
On the 8,000-kilometer course, the Bears were led by sophomore Devin Meyrer for the third time this season as he finished 69th with a time of 24:15.33. Sophomore TJ Sugg was the second scoring runner with a time of 24:43.15 -- his second top-two finish since the season opener.

TOP QUOTE
"I was actually pretty pleased with what the guys did today. We had a few miscues. Jordan (West) completely lost his shoe. Eric (Anderson) fell down and had to claw his way back into it. Devin (Meyrer) ran great out front, and we're just looking for that fifth runner. TJ (Sugg) was able to come out of that pack with Eric. Really good for us, so I'm excited to see us improve and see what unfolds at the conference and regional meets." -assistant head coach Jon Capron
