FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Baylor track and field athletes racked up 12 top-10 finishes to close out action at the Tyson Invitational at Randal Tyson Track Center Saturday.
Annie Rhodes produced another school record in the pole vault as she cleared 14-5.25 [4.40m]. That mark earned her a fourth-place finish in the event and kept her with the fourth-best mark in the NCAA for the current indoor season. Rhodes has now broken her own school record in the event twice in 2016.
Cion Hicks saved her best for last as she produced a personal-best throw of 57-0.75 [17.39m] on her final attempt of the shot put to finish second in the event. The junior from Copperas Cove, Texas, has now notched a personal-best in every meet this season. Hicks' runner-up mark is the second-best indoor shot put mark in school history, trailing only Skylar White's 57-2 [17.42m] at the 2012 NCAA Championship. For the current indoor season, Hicks' mark is currently fourth in the NCAA.
To close out the meet, Baylor had two men's and one women's 4x400-meter relays in action.
Baylor's women's quartet of Taylor Bennett, Kiana Hawn, Kiana Horton and Justise Dayries tallied a season-best of 3:37.57 to win the 4x400-meter relay by .10 seconds over Missouri.
Bennett had opened her day with a personal-best of 23.50 in the 200 meters to be third.
On the men's side, the `A' relay of Wil London, Richard Gary, Brandon Moore and George Caddick turned in the seventh-fastest time in school history of 3:04.83 to finish second in the invitational section of the event. However, the Bears were disqualified following the race for impeding that occurred on the opening leg.
The men's `B' relay of Antwuan Musgrove, Isaiah Duke, Caleb Dickson and Robert Dutton finished fourth in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:13.01.
In the high jump, the BU women had two more top-10 finishes as Jenna Pfeiffer finished second with a clearance of 5-7.25 [1.71m], while Kaylyn Schultz was seventh with a mark of 5-5.25 [1.66m].
In the triple jump, the Bears had two more top-10 finishes as Rachel Toliver tallied a personal-best leap of 42-3.5 [12.39m] to be fourth and Danylle Kurywchak was 10th in 40-4.76 [12.31m].
In the distance events, Madie Zimmerman finished third with a 10:18.25 in the 3,000 meters, Matt Parham was eighth in a personal-best mark of 8:42.31 at that same distance, while Sam Sahli was 10th in the in the 5,000 meters at 15:26.01.
HUSKY CLASSIC
Olicia Williams led Baylor's contingent at the Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash. Williams placed eighth in the 800 meters with a season-best time of 2:05.13. That time is the third-best of Williams' career and the third-best in school history. It would have ranked 15th in the NCAA entering the weekend.

- Annie Rhodes' previous personal best and school record was 14-3.5 [4.36m] set at the Texas A&M 11-Team Invitational to open the 2016 season.

Baylor will send a small group of athletes to the Alex Wilson Invitational in Notre Dame, Ind., for a meet on Saturday, Feb. 20.
