THE RUNDOWN
LEXINGTON, Ky. -
Baylor's track and field squads closed out the Rod McCravy Memorial meet with four more event titles Saturday at Nutter Field House.

Junior George Caddick made his season debut in the 400 meters count by running the No. 1 time in the nation for the current indoor season to win the event in 46.54. That time also ties Caddick's indoor personal-best set at the Texas A&M Aggie Invitational in 2015.

For the second-straight week, Bryce Grace took home a win in the 60-meter hurdles. After claiming the Texas A&M 11-Team Invitational title last week in 7.90, Grace blazed to a new personal-best of 7.79 to take the McCravy Memorial crown. The time is sixth-best in the country and tied for eighth-best in school history.

In the field events, Baylor claimed two more titles as Cion Hicks threw a personal-best distance in the shot put with a winning heave of 54-2.75 [16.53m]. Meanwhile in his season-debut of the triple jump, Felix Obi used a meet record to claim the title with a leap of 53-8.25 [16.36m] on his final attempt. The mark is third-best in school history and currently sits No. 3 in the country.

To close out the meet, Baylor 4x400-meter relay of Wil London, Richard Gary, Brandon Moore and Caddick went toe-to-toe with Florida, finishing only .33 seconds behind the Gators with a time of 3:05.90. The mark is currently second best in the nation and the fastest time turned in by a BU quartet since 2011 when Whitney Prevost, Zwede Hewitt, Drew Seale and Marcus Boyd placed second at the NCAA Championships in 3:05.42.

Along with providing the 4x4 relay a strong opening leg, London, a freshman, placed second to Caddick in the open 400 meters with a time of 47.23.

In the triple jump on the women's side, Rachel Toliver led off the day by placing third in the event. The transfer from Hawai'i produced a personal best and the 10th-best mark in the country by jumping 42-0 [12.80m] on her fifth attempt of the day.

Other top-five finishes for Baylor included Maggie Montoya, who placed third in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:31.19, Charlotte Myers' fifth-place finish in the 800 meters and Danylle Kurywchak in the triple jump as she was fifth with a best jump of 40-8.75 [12.41m].

NOTABLES
- Former Bear Trayvon Bromell notched a world-leading 60-meter time by winning the event at the meet in 6.54.
- Baylor's fastest 4x400-meter time a season ago was 3:07.47.

TOP QUOTE #1
"Overall, we had some people step up pretty big today. George (Caddick) had just a tremendous day, first in the quarter and then on the relay. The entire relay group did a great job hanging right with Florida and to break 3:06 this early in the season is outstanding." - head coach Todd Harbour on the meet

TOP QUOTE #2
"Bryce (Grace) looked great in the hurdles. He banged a few hurdles in the prelims and then cleaned that up in the finals. Cion (Hicks) threw great in the shot and Felix (Obi) had a fantastic triple jump opening up his season." - Harbour on Baylor's other event wins

WHAT'S NEXT
The Bears will take next week off, before heading back to College Station, Texas, for the Charlie Thomas Invitational on Feb. 5-6.
