WACO, Texas - Baylor's tennis teams will gather Tuesday afternoon to watch the 2015 NCAA Championship Selection Show at 4 p.m. CT. The watch party, which will be in the Stone Room at the Ferrell Center, is free and open to the public.
NCAA.com will have coverage of the women's bracket unveiling from 4-4:30 p.m., followed by the men's bracket release from 4:30-5 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.
All fans are encouraged to join the teams for the selection show as the men's program seeks its 18th-straight NCAA selection and the women look to participate in their 11th consecutive and 18th postseason all-time.
Both men's and women's teams were Big 12 regular season champions, while the women claimed the Big 12's automatic NCAA berth by claiming the Big 12 Championship title Sunday in Waco. The Lady Bears are currently 25-6 and ranked No. 8 in the country, while the men are ranked No. 2 with a 21-5 record.
The first and second rounds of the NCAA Tennis Championships are scheduled for May 8-10 at 16 four-team sites in both the men's and women's tournament. The winner of each of the 16 sites on both sides will earn a bid to the finals site in Waco, Texas, May 14-25. Complete team brackets will be posted on NCAA.com approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the show.
For eight of the last nine years and nine times overall, the Lady Bears have hosted first and second round NCAA action, while the men have hosted the opening rounds in 10 out of the last 12 years and 11 times overall.
The fields for the individual singles and doubles portion of the tournament will be announced no later than 5 p.m. CT on Wed., April 29.
