TULSA, Okla. -
The 17th-ranked Baylor men's golf team shot 37-over-par 597 in Monday's first two rounds at the Big 12 Championship, putting BU in seventh place with 36 holes remaining at Southern Hills Country Club.

The Bears finished the day 30 strokes behind tournament leader Texas (+7), and BU is 14 strokes behind second place Iowa State (+23). Texas Tech is in third place at 25-over, 12 strokes ahead of Baylor. Oklahoma (+28) is nine strokes in front of BU in fourth place, while TCU finished the day in fifth place at 30 over.

Filippo Zucchetti is tied for 15th place at 8-over 148 after shooting 4-over 74 in both of Monday's rounds. Frederik Andersen is also tied for 15th place at 8-over after posting a first round 73 and a second round 75.

Kyle Jones (+10) is tied for 22nd place after posting consecutive rounds of 5-over par 75. Mikkel Bjerch-Andresen shot 11 over for the day and is tied for 27th place, while Andreas Gjesteby (+12) is tied for 31st place heading to Tuesday's third round after posting an opening round 5-over 75 and a second round 7-over 77.

HIGHLIGHTS
? The Bears are third in the field in par-4 scoring with an average of 4.26. Baylor is also in third with 109 pars made through two rounds.
? Andersen is tied for seventh in par-4 scoring with an average of 4.08.
? Jones is tied for seventh in par-3 scoring with an average of 3.13.
? Bjerch-Andresen is tied for second in number of birdies made with seven birdies over two rounds.
? Andersen posted 25 pars over 36 holes, which ranked fourth in the 45-player field.

STAT OF THE ROUND
26 - The number of pars made by Gjesteby in the first 36 holes of play, second-most in the field.

Tee times for Tuesday's third round begin at 8 a.m. CT. The Bears are paired with Kansas and Kansas State.
