BAYLOR VS. HOUSTON SERIES
Baylor leads the all-time series against Houston 87-64 overall, 21-19 under Steve Smith and 35-28 in Waco but has lost four straight in the series, including last season's 7-2 loss in Houston on March 11, 2014.

BAYLOR VS. THE AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
Baylor owns a 94-66 all-time record against current members of the American Athletic Conference: Houston (87-64), Memphis (6-2), Temple (1-0).

BAYLOR GETS BACK-TO-BACK COMPLETE GAMES FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 2001
Baylor starters Daniel Castano and Drew Tolson teamed up for back-to-back complete games on the mound over the weekend for the first time since 2001. Back in 2001, Justin Taylor (5-1 loss vs. Texas) and Steven White (12-2 win vs. Texas, pitched eight innings) did so on April 20-21. Last Friday, Castano posted nine innings in a 3-0 win vs. Oklahoma and Tolson followed with the same Saturday in a 7-2 win vs. OU.

Daniel Castano POSTS BAYLOR'S FIRST COMPLETE GAME SHUTOUT SINCE 2011
Daniel Castano's complete game shutout Friday vs. Oklahoma in a 3-0 win was Baylor's first complete game shutout since Logan Verrett did so on March 22, 2011, vs. Louisiana Tech. Castano allowed five hits and five walks with four strikeouts in a career-long effort. He also became the first BU pitcher to toss a complete game shutout in Big 12 play since Shawn Tolleson did so at Kansas State on April 13, 2008 (Willie Kempf also had a seven-inning complete game shutout vs. Missouri on April 11, 2009).

FRESH FACES SETTING THE PACE
Partially due to injuries, Baylor's underclassmen have 65 percent of the team's at-bats and 68 percent of the team's innings pitched. The Bears' team leaders in homers (Aaron Dodson), slugging percentage (Joe Sabatini, .480), doubles (Darryn Sheppard, 8), ERA (Daniel Castano, 1.82), wins (Theron Kay, 3) and innings pitched (Drew Tolson, 46.2) are all underclassmen.

BAYLOR BALLPARK'S HOME SWEET HOME ADVANTAGE
Since the park opened in 1999, Baylor owns a 376-159 record at Baylor Ballpark and has never had a losing season in the stadium. The closest BU came to a losing season was in 2011, when the Bears were 16-14 at Baylor Ballpark. Since 2012, BU has won 16 of its 21 home series. The Bears are 10-5 at home this year and have won all four series thus far (3-0 vs. No .13 Cal Poly | 2-1 vs. Kent State | 2-1 vs. West Virginia | 2-1 vs. Oklahoma).

BAYLOR VS. RANKED TEAMS
Baylor is 30-33 against ranked teams since 2011 and 3-6 this season after sweeping No. 13 Cal Poly to open the season, falling to No. 2 LSU and No. 22 Texas A&M two weekends ago in the Houston College Classic at Minute Maid Park, losing at No. 20 Dallas Baptist on last Tuesday and being swept at No. 4 TCU last weekend. The Bears are 192-285-1 all-time against Baseball America ranked teams since 1981, and 0-6 this season (LSU, Texas A&M, Dallas Baptist, TCU). BU is 43-79 all-time against top five ranked opponents by Baseball America and 0-4 this year (No. 2 LSU (0-1), No. 4 TCU (0-3)).
