Jan. 30, 2015 WACO, Texas - The Baylor men's tennis team will send four players to compete at the 2015 RBC Tennis Championships of Dallas, a $100,000 event on the ATP Challenger Tour. The tournament will begin with qualifying on Saturday at the T Bar M Racquet Club.
"To have a Challenger just down the road is a great opportunity," head coach Matt Knoll said. "We scheduled it in such a way that these guys would have a chance to play in that. We have a couple other guys who have the ATP points to go but have chosen not to, but we're going to get some great competition up there."
The four Bears that are scheduled to compete are Julian Lenz, Juan Benitez, Max Tchoutakian and Vince Schneider.
The qualifying draw will be posted Friday night. Live scoring of the tournament will be available on ATPWorldTour.com and the ATP/WTA Live App.
Baylor returns to dual-match play on Feb. 6 as it visits Tulsa.
