ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, Calif. - Baylor men's tennis players
Felipe Rios and
Vince Schneider combined for a perfect day at the Jack Kramer Intercollegiate on Thursday.
Each player won their opening round singles match, after joining together to win their lone doubles contest of the day.
In singles, Rios, the event's No. 4 seed, took down Arizona's Shoki Kasahara, 6-1, 6-3, while Schneider bested Robbie Bellamy of USC, 6-3, 6-4. The win pushes both players into the round of 16 on Friday.
In doubles action, the pairing dispatched of Stanford's Brandon Sutter and Anthony Tsodikov, 8-2, to make the quarterfinals of the 16-team doubles draw.
HIGHLIGHTS

WHAT'S NEXT
Action will continue at the Jack Kramer Intercollegiate on Friday. Rios will face Loyola Marymount's Errol Smith, while Schneider takes on Washington's Jeffrey Hawke. Both of those matches are scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. CT. In doubles, Rios and Schneider will face USC's Bellamy and Tanner Smith at 11 a.m. CT.
