WACO, Texas - The Baylor volleyball team (10-8, 1-3) will play host to Kansas (12-5, 0-3) at the Ferrell Center Friday at 7 p.m. in Big 12 volleyball action. Both the Bears and Jayhawks have each lost their last three conference matches headed into the contest.

Baylor is coming off a three-set loss at No. 2 Texas Tuesday, which dropped Baylor's league record to 1-3. The Bears began the Big 12 season with a five-set win at Kansas State Sept. 27, but since have fallen to Texas Tech, TCU and the Longhorns.

After a 12-2 start in non-conference play, the Jayhawks have suffered league losses at Oklahoma (Sept. 27) in five sets, to KSU at home (Oct. 1) in five sets, and to No. 2 Texas (Oct. 5)?in four sets at home. The Jayhawks were idle earlier in the week.

Baylor and Kansas are the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the Big 12, respectively in kills per set. The Bears lead the Big 12 with 13.77 kills per set while the Jayhawks check in just behind at 13.61.

Baylor leads the all-time series with Kansas 22-17 and holds a 14-5 mark vs. the Jayhawks in Waco. The Jayhawks, however, have won four of the last five meetings between the teams. Bears fans are encouraged to wear black to the match.
