VB’s Haggard Earns Big 12 Setter of The Week Honors

Haggard makes second-straight appearance on the Big 12’s “Starting Seven”
WACO, Texas – Baylor volleyball's Isabela Haggard was named the Big 12 Setter of the Week on Tuesday following a stellar performance at the Baylor Classic.
Haggard directed a balanced Baylor offense to a perfect 2-0 week, totaling 82 assists across seven sets for an impressive 13.67 assists per set. The Bears hit .279 as a team during the weekend while averaging 14.71 kills and 13.43 assists per set.
Haggard also made an impact outside of her setting duties, contributing four kills, three service aces, 10 digs and five big blocks across the two matches. Her work helped Baylor's offense produce 103 kills over the weekend compared to just 69 for its opponents.
The Lexington, Ky., native is Baylor's first Big 12 Setter of the Week, as the conference began handing out the award this season.
Haggard and the Bears are prepping for a top-25 tilt to open conference play on Friday night at No. 22 BYU. The game will be televised nationally on FS1, with stats available at BaylorBears.com/Stats.

The Marquette transfer opened the weekend with 37 assists in Baylor's four-set victory over Incarnate Word before turning in a season-high 45 assists in a three-set sweep of UTEP. Her 45 assists were the most by a bear in a three-set match since Averi Carlson had 45 at Iowa State on Oct. 1, 2023.
