TULSA, Okla. - Baylor men's tennis junior
Julian Lenz was knocked out of the Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships falling in his second match on Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Lenz, the country's No. 1 ranked singles player and the event's No. 1 seed, opened his day with a 6-7(2), 6-2, 7-5 victory against Illinois 44th-ranked Tim Kopinski. That victory advanced the junior into the quarterfinal round.
However, Lenz came up short versus 80th-ranked Thai-Son Kwiatkowski, 6-2, 6-3, in that quarterfinal match.
HIGHLIGHTS
• Lenz is now 3-1 on the season.
• Lenz made the quarterfinal round of the event last year.

Baylor players are next slated to compete at the ITF Futures of Mansfield $15K event in Mansfield, Texas. That tournament runs Oct. 10-19.
