TULSA, Okla. - Baylor men's tennis junior
Julian Lenz advanced to the third round of the Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships with a 6-4, 6-2 straight set victory at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on Friday.
Lenz, the country's No. 1 ranked singles player and the event's No. 1 seed, cruised past No. 42 Carlos Lopez Villa of Old Dominion.
Meanwhile, 26th-ranked Diego Galeano's run at the event was ended with a 6-1, 6-0 loss to No. 32 Lukas Ollert of Auburn in the first round of consolation play.

Lenz is set to take on Illinois' 44th-ranked Tim Kopinski in the third round on Saturday. Kopinski beat TCU's No. 34 Nick Chappell, 6-2, 6-3, on Friday and 41st-ranked Austin Powell of North Carolina State, 6-3, 7-5, on Thursday. If Lenz is victorious over Kopinksi, he will face the winner of Virginia's Thai-Son Kwiatkowski and Notre Dame's Quentin Monaghan on Saturday afternoon.
