Becker Achieves New Career-High Singles Ranking

WACO, Texas - Former Baylor tennis All-American Benjamin Becker achieved a new career-high singles ranking of No. 35 when the latest set of ATP rankings were released on Sunday.

Becker had previously been as high as No. 38 in the world rankings on five occasions with the last time coming on Jan. 18, 2010.

Last week, Becker was ranked No. 45, before moving up 10 spots. In his latest action, Becker won two matches at the Swiss Indoors Basel, an ATP World Tour 500 event. He fell in the quarterfinals of the event to world No. 31 Ivo Karlovic.

On the year, Becker is 27-26 in singles action and has earned $618,387.

During his time at Baylor, Becker helped lead the Bears to the 2004 National Championship, while also winning the singles championship that year. A three time All-American, Becker is still the leader in career singles (141) and doubles (104) victories at Baylor.
