COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Baylor women's golf team travels to Columbia, Mo., for the 2011 Big 12 Women's Golf Championship, which will be held April 22-24 at The Club at Old Hawthorne.

The conference championship, which will be hosted by Missouri for the second time, will feature 18 holes each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Live scoring will be available at www.GolfStat.com.

Pairings for the first round will be No. 1 Iowa State, No. 2 Texas and No. 3 Oklahoma starting on the first tee at 8 a.m. CDT. No. 4 Texas A&M, No. 5 Colorado and No. 6 Oklahoma State will follow at 8:50 a.m. On the 10th tee, No. 7 Texas Tech, No. 8 Kansas and No. 9 Baylor will start at 8 a.m., followed by No. 10 Nebraska, No. 11 Kansas State and No. 12 Missouri at 8:50 a.m.

Baylor, which finished ninth at the 2010 Big 12 €ˆChampionship, has finished third three times at the conference championship in 2001, 2005 and 2007. At last year's Big 12 Championship, Hannah Burke notched her school-record 13th career top-five finish and became the first three-time Big 12 all-tournament performer in program history.

The Lady Bears posted a pair of top-five finishes this season - fifth at Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic and second at Price's "Give 'Em Five" - and enter the weekend coming off a seventh-place finish at the Baylor Spring Invitational. This weekend will mark Baylor's second trip to The Club at Old Hawthorne this season. In October, Baylor finished 10th at the Missouri-hosted Johnie Imes Invitational; Chelsey Cothran tied for 15th, shooting 7-over-par 223.

Four upperclassmen will anchor the Lady Bears' lineup in Columbia, including senior Lene Hafsten-Morch and Cothran, who will make their third consecutive Big 12 Championship appearances. Cothran leads the Lady Bears in every statistical category, including percentage of rounds counted €ˆ(100.0), scoring average (74.36), score vs. par (2.36), rounds of par or better (seven) and top-25 finishes (six).

Senior Morgan Chambers will also make her third career Big 12 Championship appearance after a one-year hiatus. Junior Jaclyn Jansen will make her second appearance, while freshman Kaylin Terry is the only Lady Bear golfer without any Big 12 Championship experience.
