WACO - The No. 5 Baylor equestrian team (4-1) will compete in its final competition of the fall season as it hosts No. 2 Texas A&M (7-0) on Friday at noon at the Willis Family Equestrian Center in Waco.
"It's always a big event when we play Texas A&M," head coach Ellen White said. "I am happy with the way we have been riding, so I think we are ready to give them our best shot."
The Bears Hunter Seat, undefeated on the year, team is coming off a 9-3 win over SMU on Nov. 12. The last time BU competed as a full squad was Oct. 15, a 13-10 loss at Oklahoma State.
The Aggies took an 11-8 win over Kansas State on Nov. 11. A&M's Western squad is undefeated on the season.
The Bears will be looking for their first win over the Aggies since defeating them for the Big 12 Championship on March 27, 2010.
The competition will begin with Fences followed by Horsemanship and Flat and ending with Reining.
Admission is free and open to the public. No personal pets are allowed on the grounds.
A sold out Meet the Team Banquet and Fundraiser will follow the competition to help celebrate the end of a successful fall season.
