TRINITY, Texas - Baylor University will serve as this year's host institution for the 2010 Big 12 Men's Golf Championship, which will be held April 23-25 at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, Texas. This year will mark the third time that Baylor has hosted the conference championship.

Whispering Pines Golf Club is approximately 88 miles north of Houston situated on a spectacular 400-acre property featuring piney woods, creeks, lakes, natural dunes and abundant wildlife. It was named the No. 1 course in Texas for thre fourth consecutive year by The Dallas Morning News.

The tournament features a 72-hole format on the par-72, 7,480-yard course. A total of 36 holes are played on Friday, followed by 18 days on both Saturday and Sunday.

Last season, Oklahoma State earned a Big 12-leading seventh conference title at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan. The Texas Longhorns are next with three league championships, followed by Baylor, Kansas and Oklahoma with one title each. The top 10 individual finishes each season are named to the Big 12 All-Tournament Team.


TEE PAIRINGS
First-day pairings for the 2010 Big 12 Men's Golf Championship were determined by a poll voted on by the league's head coaches. Pairings for the second round of the first day will remain the same, but will switch starting teams. The second round is scheduled to begin five and a half hours after the first-round tee times. Second day pairings will be based on first day results and placed in a horseshoe arrangement.

From Houston: From 1-45 North, take exit 113 (Hwy 19)...Stay on Hwy 19 approximately 20 miles to Trinity, turnig right at second red light onto Hwy 94...Go approximately three miles and turn right onto FM 3188...Follow the road about five miles to the gates of Whispering Pines Golf Club and Camp Olympia.

From Dallas: From 1-45 South, take exit Hwy 7 at Centerville...Go east to Crockett...In Crockett, go right onto Loop 304 for approximately 1 mile...Turn right onto Hwy 19 and travel south to Trinity...In Trinity, turn left at the first red light onto Hwy 94...Go approximately three miles and turn right onto FM 3188...Follow the road about five miles to the gates of Whispering Pines Golf Club and Camp Olympia.

From Beaumont: From Beaumont, take Hwy 69 North to Woodville...Take Hwy 287 northwest to Groveton...In Groveton, turn left onto Hwy 94 and travel 15 miles southwest. Turn left onto FM 3188...Follow the road about five miles to the gates of Whispering Pines Golf Club and Camp Olympia.

From Waco: Take Hwy 6 South towards Marlin...Turn left onto Hwy 7 and head east for approximately 86 miles...Turn right onto Loop 304 for approximately 2 miles...Turn right onto Hwy 19 and continue south for about 26 miles before turning left onto Hwy 94 (E.
