EQ: Heather Healy Falls in Semifinals

WACO, Texas - Baylor equestrian rider Heather Healy completed the third and final day of the 2010 Varsity Equestrian National Championships with a tough loss in the individual bracket of Equitation on the Flat to Georgia rider Michelle Morris. Healy was the lone rider for the Bears to advance to the final day of competition.

"She did an excellent job, she rode exactly how I told her to," said head coach Ellen White.

Sixth-seeded Healy fell to second-seeded Morris, 179-164, in the semifinal round of the individual Hunter Seat competition. Morris went on the win the individual national championship in the event, defeating top-seeded Ally Blais of Oklahoma State, 179-171.
