The No. 8 Baylor equestrian team (4-4) will compete in its fourth-straight home competition, taking on No. 7 Kansas State (4-3) on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.
"This is our last competition of the fall, so we want to head to the offseason on a good note," head coach Ellen White said. "We love being at home and I think this is going to be a challenge, but one we are really looking forward to."
The Bears are coming off a another 11-8 loss, this time at the hands of No. 2 Texas A&M last Friday. The squads were tied heading into the last event, but the Aggies took home a three-point win in the final event for the victory. Baylor's Hunter Seat team remains undefeated on the year with a 6-0-2 record.
K-State is coming off its lone home loss of the season, in which they fell to nationally-ranked Oklahoma State. The Cowgirls broke K-State's three-match win streak by knocking off the Cats, 12-7, on November 5 at Manhattan.
Baylor leads the all-time series 7-3, but the Bears won the last matchup, 10-8 on Feb. 20, 2010 in Waco.
The competition will begin with fences before moving on to horsemanship and flat, and will end with reining.
