COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Baylor women's golf team finished 10th Tuesday at the fourth annual Johnie Imes Invitational held at The Club at Old Hawthorne.

Oklahoma State won the team title, finishing 54 holes as the only team under-par at 1-under. Colorado and Oklahoma tied for second at 14-over, while FIU (21-over) and Wisconsin (31-over) finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Baylor finished four strokes behind Texas State for ninth place and two strokes ahead of 11th-place Princeton.

"It's hard to have a rough day in good conditions," head coach Sylvia Ferdon said. "When we get home, we need to figure out what we need to do."

Only five golfers finished the tournament under-par, including four from the Big 12. Oklahoma State teammates Courtney McKim and Victoria Park finished atop the leaderboard at 4-under 212, sharing individual medalist honors. Oklahoma's Ellen Mueller and Colorado's Jessica Wallace tied for third at 3-under 213, while FIU's Katie Mundy finished fifth at 2-under 214.

Chelsey Cothran posted Baylor's highest individual finish, tying for 15th place at 7-over (76-72-75=223). The Springdale, Ark., native also carded Baylor's lowest individual score in each round at the Johnie Imes.

Senior Lene Hafsten-Morch tied for 41st at 14-over (78-76-76=230), while Jaclyn Jansen (76-76-80=232) and Jordan Rhodes (76-77-79=232) finished tied for 45th at 16-over. Freshman Kaylin Terry, who was making her collegiate debut in Missouri, tied for 78th at 30-over (81-80-85=246).

"We need to evaluate and try to get ready for the next tournament," Ferdon said. "We need to learn from it as we have a very winnable tournament next week in New Mexico. There are no excuses for our play this week."

The Baylor women's golf team returns to action Oct. 11-13 at Price's "Give-Em Five" Invitational in Las Cruces, N.M.
