SECAUCUS, N.J. - Baylor senior outfielder Adam Hornung was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 19th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. Through the first 30 rounds of the draft, six Baylor players have been selected. The draft concludes Thursday with rounds 31 through 50.

Hornung, who was the final pick of the 19th round and the 591st overall selection, prepped at Lorena [Texas] High School and played at San Jacinto [Texas] Junior College and McLennan [Texas] Community College before coming to Baylor. He hit .254 with eight home runs and 23 RBI this season, also collecting 11 doubles and a triple. In 2008, Hornung hit .320 with eight home runs, 43 RBI and 12 doubles.

Baylor's six draft picks this year are the program's most since a school-record nine Bears were selected in 2005.
