Baylor Head Coach Scott Drew On the fan support:
"First thing, I want to do is thank all of our fans that came today because it has been a tough season for them down the stretch run and it has been tough for us. We really appreciate you coming out and sticking with us and that is from the bottom of our hearts. The second thing is we have one more home game for our seniors. If everyone can come out and bring a friend--there is no other class in America that has ever gone to a school and not been able to play part of their basketball season due to something they had nothing to do with. We haven't met the expectations that we put on ourselves, but at the same time, these guys have given us expectations. If we can get a packed house for them again, they deserve it."
On Colorado:
"We knew it was going to be a tough game....Their style is tough to compete against and after the way we have been playing we wanted to get after somebody, but if you are that aggressive, you get beat on those backdoor cuts. It is one of those things when you try to be energized but you just can't because you have to stay underneath guys. I thought the way we closed out the game was tremendous. I think the last 15 times they had the ball they didn't get a field goal. I think we closed on a 25-5 run and that is a great way to close the game and give our guys confidence over the last two games"
On the team effort:
"I thought CJ (Curtis Jerrells) made some huge plays. Eight rebounds are tremendous and we only had two turnovers in the second half and we shot 60 percent, so we really shared the ball. I thought Tweety (Carter) got us a great loose ball that really got us over the hump. It was nice to be able to see those guys celebrate a little bit."
Baylor Senior Guard Curtis Jerrells On the second half run:
"We played basketball. In the first half and a little bit in the second half we weren't playing, we were just out there a little bit nervous and scared to do things. We just picked it up and started playing by putting everything behind us."
Baylor Senior Forward Kevin Rogers On the second half adjustments:
"When we started the game we felt like we weren't playing like ourselves. We came together as a team and just talked some things out and just decided to have fun. That was Baylor basketball at its best.
Baylor Sophomore Guard LaceDarius Dunn On the game:
"We have been working on a lot of things and we have been struggling recently and not playing Baylor basketball. Tonight we just put it together and came out and said that we were going to do whatever it takes to get the victory and we did."
Colorado Head Coach Jeff Bzdelik On Baylor and Curtis Jerrells:
"Curtis Jerrells wasn't going to let his team lose. We didn't have an answer for him and we couldn't defend him. Baylor is a very explosive team and we just couldn't stop Jerrells. Our traps on the ball screens were weak.
Colorado Sophomore Guard Levi Knutson On the game:
"We played pretty good basketball for 30 or so minutes, but 30 or so minutes doesn't win you basketball games. We didn't finish that last eight minutes or whatever it was. We let (Curtis) Jerrells get going, we turned the ball over... you can't win a basketball game just playing 30 minutes."
