IRVING, Texas - A trio of Baylor men's tennis players were named All-Big 12 selections the league office announced today.

Senior Lars Poerschke and Denes Lukacs were named all-league in singles while Lukacs and David Galic were honored in doubles.

Poerschke, was named All-Big 12 in singles for the fourth straight year, a feat duplicated by only one other Baylor netter, Benjamin Becker. Poerschke, despite being hampered by injuries this season, ranks No. 8 nationally and is 17-6 on the season and 12-6 in dual match competition.

Lukacs, a sophomore, was a double honoree by the league, garnering All-Big 12 honors in both singles and doubles. The 11th-ranked sophomore leads the Bears this season with a 41-9 record which ranks No. 2 on Baylor's single season victory list. He breezed through Big 12 competition with a perfect 6-0 mark and is 25-4 in dual match play. In addition, he has posted a 20-8 record versus ranked opponents. On Sunday he was named the Big 12 Championship's most outstanding player.

Galic is a two-time all-league selection in doubles now after teaming with Matija Zgaga last season and earning All-Big 12 kudos. This season he and Lukacs have posted an 11-5 overall mark and are 8-4 in dual match play.

The All-Big 12 honors are selected by the league's head coaches who are not allowed to vote for their own players.
