WACO, Texas - Baylor is playing its first home women's tennis matches of the season beginning Wednesday when the 10th-ranked Bears host No. 36 TCU at 5:00 p.m. The Bears will continue their mini home-stand Saturday with a meeting against No. 16 William & Mary scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. All the action is free to spectators at the Baylor Tennis Center or can be followed online at BaylorBears.com.

No. 10 Baylor hosts a pair of matches with No. 36 TCU visiting the Baylor Tennis Center on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. and No. 16 William & Mary making an appearance for a 1:00 p.m. match on Saturday. Both matches will be scored live on BaylorBears.com
COMING HOME
Baylor opened the season with six matches away from Waco. The six-match road swing to open the season was the longest in school history.
AGAINST THE OPPOSITION
Wednesday marks the 27th meeting between Baylor and TCU. The Bears and the Horned Frogs first faced each other in 1981 and have met nearly every year since. Baylor is 11-15 all-time against TCU and is 8-1 against the Horned Frogs since the turn of the century. The Bears have won the last four matches against TCU, last losing on Feb. 17, 2004, to the then 59th ranked Horned Frogs. The 27th meeting between the two squads is the third-most matches against an single opponent in Baylor history, trailing only Texas (34) and Texas A&M (31).
Saturday's match against William & Mary marks just the third meeting between the two teams and the first time since 1999. Baylor first faced W&M in 1996 in an 8-1 loss on the road; in 1999, the Bears lost 5-4 to W&M in Austin. Saturday will be the first time that Baylor has hosted W&M.
SCOUTING THE HORNED FROGS
TCU lost its season-opener against Texas (5-2) on Feb. 9 before earning its first win of the season on the road against North Texas (6-1). The last time out (Feb. 16), TCU defeated No. 28 Texas A&M, 4-3, at home. The Horned Frogs are led by 66th-ranked Nina Munch-Soegaard, their lone ranked individual.
SCOUTING THE TRIBE
William & Mary enters the week with an 8-3 record and will face Texas before meeting up with Baylor on Saturday. The Tribe's losses have come from No. 2 Northwestern (7-0), No. 7 Miami (4-1) and No. 14 Notre Dame (4-3). Wins for W&M have come against Michigan State, No. 20 Wake Forest, No. 53 Virginia, No. 70 Princeton, No. 74 Wisconsin, No. 24 Arkansas, No 64 Colorado and Harvard.
Individually, the Tribe have three ranked individuals including: No. 12 Megan Moulton-Levy, No. 55 Ragini Acharya and No. 83 Katarina Zoricic.
IN THE RANKINGS
The ITA released its latest team rankings Tuesday (Feb. 12) with Baylor jumping up one spot from 11th to 10th. The jump marks the second consecutive week that the Bears have moved up in the national rankings. Baylor opened the season ranked No 13.
Individually, Baylor is one of four schools with five or more players ranked in the top 100. Senior Zuzana Zemenova, the 2005 NCAA Individual National Champion, earned Baylor's highest billing at No. 15. Zemenova is trailed closely by sophomore Lenka Broosova at No. 18 and freshman Taylor Ormond at No. 23. Sophomore Jana Bielikova and freshman Karolina Filipiak earned No. 47 and No. 86 rankings, respectively. The ITA will next release its team and individual rankings on Feb. 20.
LAST TIME OUT
Baylor earned its first win against Miami (Fla.) since 2000 with a 4-1 rout of the Hurricanes. Baylor improved to 5-1 with the win, 2-4 all-time against Miami, by earning the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. The Bears won No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6 singles to close out the match. Lenka Broosova won her No. 2 singles match to improve to 6-0 in duals, 22-3 overall.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Baylor posted a 3-2 singles marks against TCU in the fall with Broosova earning wins over Andrea Morgado and Munch-Soegaard. Ormond defeated then-No. 62 Anna Sydorska while Zuzana Chmelarova and Filipiak dropped matches to Macall Harkins and Kewa Nichols, respectively. In doubles, the Bears are 2-0 against TCU. In the fall Broosova and Zemenova defeated Idunn Hertzberg and Morgado at the Southwest Regional while Filipiak and Ormond topped Maria Babanova and Hertzberg at the Baylor Invite.
No member of Baylor has faced William & Mary this season.
