WACO, Texas (AP) - Danielle Wilson has been working to be more aggressive on the court, and it showed Monday night.

Wilson had 19 points and 10 rebounds in just 22 minutes to lead No. 10 Baylor to an 83-36 victory over Lamar.

"Every game from here on out she gains more confidence," Baylor coach Kim Mulkey said. "She's looking to finish shots better. She's giving herself an opportunity to score more for us."

The Lady Bears (8-1) started the game with a 24-2 run over the first 12 minutes. Lamar didn't hit its second field goal until 7:53 remained in the first half.

The Lady Bears opened the second half much like the first with a 15-6 run to take a 49-16 lead. Wilson scored 11 points during the 4-minute stretch.

"The coaches have been getting on me a little bit to think score first," Wilson said. "I think it's getting better in practice with them getting on me and telling me to post strong."

The Lady Bears kept pouring it on without Wilson in the game as they went on a 15-0 run to make it 66-23.

Senior Jessica Morrow hit a 3-pointer in the first half to make her the 25th Lady Bear with 1,000 points. She finished with nine points.

"For Jessica Morrow to get a thousand points in her career is something that she will always remember," Mulkey said. "And it is something I will always appreciate because all those points helped us win ballgames."

Baylor finished with a 64-23 rebounding edge.

Lamar's 36 points was its lowest total this season and the fewest by a Baylor opponent.

"Our defense is farther along than our offense," Mulkey said. "The one constant that you can have is that you always can have effort on the defensive end. You can sometimes shoot lights out and sometimes, no matter what you do, you can't score."

Lamar coach Larry Tidwell was returning to Baylor after serving as an assistant coach for the Lady Bears from 1992-98.

"I'll be real honest. I love Baylor. My oldest son graduated here," Tidwell said. "To come in this arena and see all these banners was a great experience."

But despite the nostalgia, Tidwell was frustrated with his team's performance.

"This is a top 10 team and on the food chain I know where I am at," he said. "But I was disappointed in my team. I want to take them into arenas where there have been national championships and I want them to feel that and enjoy it. But right now it looks like my girls are deer in the headlights."

Morgan Medlock scored 14 points and had nine rebounds for Baylor, while Melissa Jones had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Ang Green led the Lady Cardinals (5-2) with 11 points and Nikki Williams added nine.
