- Tweety Carter did not dress for the third straight game (coach's decision), but is expected to play against Jacksonville (Nov. 24).

- With Baylor holding a 9-8 lead at the 15:46 mark in the first half, the Bears went on an 18-1 run over the next 4:17 to make the score 27-9.

 - Acy also scored in double-figures for the third-straight game, and led the team in scoring for the first time in his career.
 - Henry Dugat nearly recorded the third triple-double in Baylor history with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. The rebounds and assists were both career highs.
 - With 13 points, Curtis Jerrells moves into ninth place all-time at Baylor, passing Willie Sublett, David Wesley and Vinnie Johnson.
 - Jerrells made 5 of 8 field goals against Southern and has made 12 of his last 17 attempts.
 - LaceDarius Dunn tied a season high with 6 rebounds.
