Men's Cross Country Takes 14th at Stanford Invitational

PALO ALTO, Calif. - Robbie Knorr placed 27th overall as Baylor finished 14th at the Stanford Invitational on Saturday evening.

Knorr (Livermore, Calif.), who competed in the event as a high school runner, recorded a time of 24:54 in his second-career 8K race.

John Wenhold (Corpus Christi, Texas) finished 86th at 25:51 and Ben Haby (Corpus Christi, Texas) took 91st in 25:57. Jordan Hiller (Yoakum, Texas) placed 92nd with a time of 25:58, while Jacob Jones (Willis, Texas) finished the scoring for the Bears with a 107th place finish with a time of 26:07.

Stanford won the team title, placing three runners in the top six finishers. Scott Bauhs (unattached) won the individual runner, while Aron Rono of Azusa Pacific was the top attached competitor.

Baylor will return to action on October 13 as the Bears travel to Fayetteville, Ark. to run in the Chile Pepper Invitational.
