Today is March 16, 2007 and I am feeling today is a good day. We just finished up with the Big 12 tournament where we had a disappointing loss to Oklahoma.
Now I am just writing down my thoughts while sitting on the plane heading to North Carolina. I feel sad because we just left our great fans in Waco. I tell you this year has been nothing but fun for me and I appreciate the fans and all the support they give us. In addition, don't worry people, in my opinion, Coach Mulkey isn't going anywhere she loves you guys.
I can say that I never had a coach who has cared and push me like Coach Mulkey has; it has been a pleasure playing for her. I can just be myself around her and that is what it's all about with a player and a coach.
Back to basketball because I can't get too sentimental. We play UT-Chattanooga on Sunday, which is a well-coach team and will be a tough game for us. Many people might think well its Chattanooga, but you can't overlook the fact that this is the NCAA Tournament and everyone is out for one thing. We are all focused and ready for this tournament because we know that it is do or die and they've been killing us in practice with Karen (Coach Aston) drills we call death. Man, I bet Coach Mulkey is happy Karen is here so she can kill us even more. But, she's a good coach so you can't blame her; she even taught me a lot.
As for the players, the freshmen are still crazy as ever. Kaitlin goes to Wal-Mart everyday and spends her money. Jessika Bradley is still cracking jokes, Danielle is still raising her eyebrows when she blocks our shots, and Latara is still yelling at all the freshmen to make their free throws. I wish you guys were at our practices it's so hilarious when Tara gets mad. Last, but not least, Hailey is still the baby Marilyn Monroe.
Well, I have to head to bed my curfew is at 11 p.m. and I don't want coach getting mad, because she might not play me.
Well keep praying for us that we may grow and learn not only about basketball but about life.
Blessing, B Mo
