Men's Tennis Wraps Up at Rice Invitational

The Bears finished strong in their consolation bracket Sunday at the 10th Annual Met/Rice Indoor Tennis Invitational at the Downtown Club at the Met in Houston.

Baylor's duo of Galic and Poerschke finished on top of the Flight A consolation doubles bracket after defeating Texas A&M's John Nallon and Luke Ocvirk 8-6.

Zgaga pushed his way through the Flight A consolation singles bracket defeating Clay Donato (Texas A&M) in a two-set match 6-4, 6-3. In Flight B consolation singles action Galic fell to Nenad Maric (UTSA) 7-6 (3), 6-2.

The Bears will make their home debut on Saturday, Jan. 27, when they host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 2 p.m.
