The Baylor men's golf team, which has jumped up to 12th in the latest Golfweek rankings, will look for its third straight victory of the spring as it competes in the Louisiana Classics Monday and Tuesday at the 7,002-yard, par-72 Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, La.

The Bears are led by senior Ryan Baca (Richmond, Texas), who is now ranked fifth nationally in the Golfweek individual ratings. Baca will be looking for his fourth straight individual title and leads the team with a 70.11 stroke average, 67.33 in the two spring events.

Head coach Greg Priest will be using the same lineup in consecutive tournaments for the first time this season. Baca will be joined by juniors Jeremy Alcorn (Brownwood, Texas) and Jeremy Frye (Palestine, Texas) and sophomores Wes Williams (Franklin, Tenn.) and Brian Meck (Austin, Texas).

Baylor will have a week off before returning to action at the Border Olympics March 17-18 at Laredo Country Club in Laredo, Texas.

Jeremy Alcorn [Junior]: Tied for 13th last time out at the Lexus Naples Intercollegiate Invitational with a score of 214 (70-73-71)...Finished 12th at the UTSA Intercollegiate, shooting 218 (75-73-70)...Appeared in all four fall events...Tied for 25th at the Hawai'i Fall Invitational with a score of 224 (75-73-76)...Claimed his fourth career individual title to tie for the most wins in Baylor's history since 1988 at the Baylor Invitational...Shot 211 (71-72-68) and tied his season-low with a final-round 68...Tied for third at the Mason Rudolph Championship with a 213 (71-74-68)...Tied for 40th at the season-opening William H. Wes Williams [Sophomore]: Tied for 20th his last time out, shooting 217 (76-68-73)...Set a new career low with his second-round 68...Tied for 24th at the UTSA Intercollegiate, shooting 223 (76-74-73)...Competed in all four fall events...Tied for 37th at the Hawai'i Fall Invitational, shooting 228 (79-74-75)...Had his best showing of the fall and his career by tying for sixth and firing a career-low 69 in the final round of the Baylor Invitational...Shot 215 (73-73-69) for the tournament...Tied for 32nd in a return to his hometown of Franklin, Tenn., at the Mason Rudolph Championship...Shot 223 (75-76-72)...Tied for 47th at the season-opening William H.
