WACO, Texas - With the score tied at 27-27 with 6:36 remaining in the first half, the Baylor women's basketball team closed the half on a 20-2 run as the Lady Bears grabbed control of the game and cruised to a 103-50 victory over the Houston Jaguars in exhibition play at the Ferrell Center on Tuesday.
"When you play an exhibition game like this, it allows us to work on things we're going to see. I think it is very obvious when you play a game like this that we have got some talent; but, we don't have experience," head coach Kim Mulkey said. "It excites me about the talent we have. Those kids have talent that only God gave them, and it's our job as coaches to develop that. This freshman group is going to be good, and their learning from the right veteran players."

In addition, Baylor held a commanding 14-0 edge in fast break points as the Lady Bears controlled tempo and broke the 100-point barrier on Latara Darrett's three-pointer with 2:18 left in the game.
