Coach Scott Drew:
"Offensively, 102 points is excellent no matter what time of year or who you are playing. Defensively, giving up 85 points is not good. You're definitely not going to win a lot of games giving up 32 free throws."
On underclassmen play:
"I think Kevin Rogers had 17 points and 15 rebounds. He did a great job. Josh [Lomers] had 12 points and four rebounds. When he played, the team did well when he was in the game. Foul trouble kept him out. Penny [Thiam], eight points and 10 rebounds is excellent. Tweety [Carter] wishes he had some shots back...But the good news is he had four assists and no turnovers."
Aaron Bruce
On the game:
"It was a good game, we definitely learned a lot of things from it. We have been working on a lot of things in practice and we are trying to put in all a lot of things. It's very good for us to get out and be in the situation where we have a crowd and game pressure."
On the defense:
We gave up more points than we would have liked to. Obviously, our offense worked well - to score 100 pts in a college game is pretty rare, but we need to work on our rebounding and defense. They were a smaller team, but to their credit they rebounded really hard.
Josh Lomers
On his first collegiate experience:
"It felt great, it's something to get used to. It's a lot bigger crowd and a lot bigger arena than I'm used to."
On playing with the veterans: "It's great, playing with great guards makes everybody better. The team is good, we are doing good, like Aaron said, we need to work on our defense, but we learned a lot."
